Ensure that no glue enters the valve body — stray solvent cement on the seat will destroy the seal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eMaintenance\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe transparent lid allows you to inspect water flow and check for debris lodged in the valve seal. To service the valve, unscrew the locking ring and remove the assembly. Lubricate with silicone lubricant only — petroleum-based grease will swell the seals. Avoid overtightening the locking ring.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch3\u003eCheck valve position\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePosition the valve so there is 600mm of pipe in front of the pump.
