The Laing Thermotech E-10 (also sold as Xylem, ITT Laing, Thermotech, and Goulds) is the industry-standard spa circulation pump used globally since the 1990s. The current E-10 replaces earlier E-3, E-5, SilentFlo 5000, and legacy SM-series pumps, offering higher flow, cooler operation, and lower energy consumption.
Commonly found in Caldera, Dimension One, Hot Spring, Jacuzzi, Spa Industries, Sundance, Sweetwater, Watkins and other brands. Compatible with standard 19 mm (3/4″) hose. Available with Mini JJ (Circ), AMP, C-38 (3-pin) plugs, or blank cord — please confirm plug type before ordering. A licensed technician may re-use a safe, intact existing lead.

These are excellent little pumps — but they are also one of the most common sources of spa warranty claims. Most failures are due to installation or water-quality issues, not manufacturing faults. Please read carefully:
- Must be installed perfectly horizontal – if tilted, the impeller can rub and seize.
- Remove all inline filters or strain-screens before the pump – restricted flow will overheat and damage the unit.
- Do not use in saltwater systems.
- Avoid clarifiers and flocculants – they can block filters and starve flow.
- Maintain balanced water chemistry – corrosive or acidic water voids warranty. See corrosive water damage info.
- Do not modify or splice cords — use the correct lead type for your spa controller.
