1/8" Pressure Switch Tap Tool standard spa & pool industry threaded pressure switches with 1/8" NPT threads. Note that in some cases, you may need to grind some off of the tap tool, to reach the wider part of the taper. This is something usually done be experienced person.

This tool can be used to make a thread in any PVC fitting where a 1/8" female thread is required.
Requires 21/64" drill bit for the initial hole, not metrci.

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD

  • Plug Types & Styles

    Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

    • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
    • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
    • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
    • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
