Astralpool 55UV Lamp (Use 2x for 110systems)

OEM Astralpool 55W UV Lamps. For 110W units, use two lamps. Double-ended UV-C Germicidal Lamps used in various water & air disinfection systems. Genuine Philips or Osram lamps. Not cheap aftermarkets. Last two images show the UV systems these lamps are used in.

Approx 9,000 hour lamp life. Length including pins - 908mm.

Notes:

  • Do not touch lamp with bare skin or allow any oils or other contaminents onto glass. If this happens use non-residue isopropyl alcohol to clean lamps. Handle with extreme care.
  • UV Lamps have small metallic beads that rattle around in the lamp. This is normal. These are vaporised when high-voltage is applied, which in turn creates the UV light.

  • When plugging in the lamp, ensure the plug is carefully aligned with the pins and gently pushed into place. Forcing the plug or misaligning it can damage the lamp's pins, which is not covered under warranty.

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD

  • Plug Types & Styles

    Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

    • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
    • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
    • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
    • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
