The XF 520 is the largest model in the AstralPool XF Series — a flooded suction pump with no hair and lint pot, designed to sit below water level. At 2.0HP and 520 LPM it is built for the demanding jobs: swim jet pumps, multi-jet spa boosting and high-flow solar circuits.

An inbuilt non-return valve stops the impeller reverse-rotating under high pressure, which is what keeps these reliable on solar circuits where the column drains back.

Replacing an older Hurlcon FX pump?

The XF Series replaces the earlier Hurlcon / AstralPool FX Series. Direct swaps are FX 140 to XF 140, FX 250 to XF 250 and FX 520 to XF 520.

The FX 190 (0.75HP / 190 LPM) and FX 340 (1.5HP / 340 LPM) have been discontinued and have no direct XF equivalent. If you are replacing an FX 340, this XF 520 is the nearest current model — it is a step up in output, so check your pipework and circuit rating before ordering. Give us a call if you are not sure.
