Balboa 3.0kW Heater for Chinese Spas & Spas Direct - RPL Kit

Balboa 3.0kw RPL Kit Heater Assy c/w Klixon and M7 Sensors - This is similar to the standard M7 heater assembly, but has a surface mounted klixon on the heater tube that will cut all power from the heater if the M7 sensors fail and it reaches 54°.
These are commonly found on Chinese spas.

  • Diameter: 57mm or 2.25" (referred to as 2")

Notes:

  • Make sure when loosening and tightening element nuts the base stud nut is held firmly, with no movement. If the base stud nut is twisted, it damages the epoxy seal and element, and cannot be covered by warranty.
  • Base stud nuts use with 3/8", or 1/4" slimline spanners. (not metric)

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD

  • Plug Types & Styles

    Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

    • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
    • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
    • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
    • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
