Davey Spa-quip (SpaQuip) 500A - Element Carrier

Heater element carrier. Suits Davey / Spa-quip Spa Power 500A and 500A Mk2 electronic spa controllers. Does NOT suit older Spa Power 54500 (500) controllers.
The element screws through this part, and the optical water sensor screws into the small thread. The heater tank body o-ring seats around the outside of this part.
This carrier does NOT suit:

  • Physically Stocked, unlike most "drop-shipping" websites.
  • Shipped from VIC, NSW, WA, QLD
  • Spa Power 500 / 54500 which use a differently threaded water sensor (this carrier PLUS a new water sensor can however be used on 500 / 54500 systems)
  • Classic / Classic Plus electric heaters which require a brass threaded nipple for the pressure switch connection

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD

  • Plug Types & Styles

    Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

    • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
    • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
    • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
    • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
