Complete top-mount 6-position multiport valve assembly for Astralpool EC series sand filters with 40mm (1½") ports. Supplied as a full kit with barrel unions, tank clamp, tank O-ring and pressure gauge, so a failed valve can be replaced without sourcing fittings separately.

Check This First - EC and ECA Are Not Interchangeable

The EC and ECA valves look near-identical on the shelf. They are not the same part. The difference is the outside diameter of the filter's centre pipe (the standpipe the valve seats over):

• 50mm O/D centre pipe = EC series = this valve, part 76037.
• 48.1mm O/D centre pipe = ECA series = part 76036 instead - see Astralpool Multiport Valve 40mm ECA Filter 76036.

Measure the centre pipe with vernier callipers or a tape before ordering. That single measurement decides it. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your existing valve and the filter's model label and we will confirm which one you need.

Fitment

Does not fit ECA550, ECA650, CA, Cantabric, FG, E series or RX series filters. Each of those uses a different valve.

How to Identify Which Valve You Need

1. Turn the filter pump off at the isolator and release pressure via the manual air bleed on the filter lid.
2. Undo the tank clamp and lift the multiport valve clear of the tank.
3. Measure the outside diameter of the centre pipe (standpipe) rising from the middle of the tank.
4. 50mm O/D means EC series - order 76037. 48.1mm O/D means ECA series - order 76036.
5. Check the filter's model label to confirm the reading before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my ECA550 or ECA650 filter?
No. ECA filters use a 48.1mm centre pipe and require part 76036. This valve suits the 50mm centre pipe on EC series filters only.

Do I need to buy barrel unions separately?
No. Three 40mm barrel unions and their O-rings are supplied with the valve, along with the tank clamp, tank O-ring and pressure gauge.

Water is running out the waste line while the valve is set to Filter. Do I need a whole new valve?
Usually not. That symptom is normally a worn spider gasket, part 75916, which is a fraction of the cost of a complete valve.

How many positions does the valve have?
Six: Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Recirculate and Closed.

Can I return it if I order the wrong one?
Yes, we accept returns. The valve must come back unused and in brand-new saleable condition or a restocking fee applies. Measuring the centre pipe first avoids the issue entirely.
