Spatex MVX30 reusable pleated cam twist lock filter cartridge, made in New Zealand by Magnum Filters. Designed to replace the original disposable cartridges fitted to Vortex® Spas from mid 2016 onward. Because this cartridge is pleated rather than disposable, it can be removed, hosed off and reused instead of thrown away.

Spatex filter cartridges are manufactured by Magnum Filters in New Zealand. Magnum have been producing spa and pool filter cartridges since 1982 and supply OEM and co-branded cartridges to spa manufacturers and distributors worldwide. Check the bottom of your existing cartridge before ordering. This filter has a cam twist lock base, not a screw thread. If your old filter screws in, you need a threaded cartridge instead.

Filter Replacement Guide

Spa filters should generally be replaced every 1 to 2 years, depending on usage, water quality, chemical balance and cleaning routine. Rinsing the pleats regularly and soaking the cartridge in a dedicated filter cleaner will extend its working life between replacements.
