Genuine spider gasket for Astralpool and Hurlcon 40mm multiport valves manufactured from September 2009 onwards. This is the single most common cause of water running to waste while the valve is set to Filter, and it costs a fraction of a complete valve.
Measure Before You Order
Pull your old gasket and check it against these two figures - they are what separate this gasket from the earlier one:
- Outer diameter: 128mm
- 4 spokes
If your gasket does not match on both counts, you have a pre-September 2009 valve and this gasket will not seal. Send us a photo with a tape across it and we will confirm what fits.
Inspect the diverter while you are in there. It wears against this gasket, and a new gasket against a scored diverter will leak again before long.

Astralpool changed the 40mm multiport valve in September 2009. Parts are not interchangeable across that change. The quickest check is the spider gasket: the post-2009 valve uses a 128mm outer diameter, 4-spoke gasket. If yours does not match that, you have a pre-September 2009 valve - send us a photo and we will confirm what fits before you order.

Water runs to waste while the valve is on Filter. Is this the fix?
Almost always. A worn spider gasket is the most common cause of that symptom, and it is far cheaper than a complete valve.
Should I replace anything else at the same time?
Inspect the diverter, part 75902. It runs against this gasket, so if the sealing face is scored a new gasket will fail again quickly.
