Waterco Trimline and Micron Filter Lid Lock Ring

Genuine Waterco lid lock ring, part number 62024BLK, in black. This is the large threaded collar that screws down over the tank lid and clamps it to the filter body. It is the component that holds the lid against system pressure, so a cracked, stripped or distorted lock ring must be replaced rather than persevered with.

Fits

Fitting

Shut the pump down and release tank pressure at the air bleed before unscrewing the lock ring. Do not lever a seized ring off with a screwdriver — that is how lugs get broken. Waterco supply an 8" lock ring spanner (620245) for the job. Refit hand-tight against the lid, seating the lid o-ring first, then re-pressurise slowly and check for leaks.
