Iluka Spa Sea Mineral System

Iluka is Lo-Chlor’s sea-mineral inspired spa chemical range for spas, hot tubs and swim spas. It combines conventional chlorine-based sanitising with mineral comfort products, water balancing, oxidising, clarifying and cleaning products to help keep spa water clean, clear and more enjoyable to use.

The core sanitiser in the Iluka range is Iluka Purify, a stabilised chlorine product based on sea minerals (magnesium & potassium) SDIC/dichlor and borates. It is designed to control bacteria and algae while helping improve water feel and pH stability. Iluka Eliminate is the non-chlorine oxygen shock used to oxidise organic waste, reduce combined chlorine and restore water clarity.

Iluka is best suited to chlorine-compatible spa systems where you still want a softer, more “mineral spa” feel. It is not the same as AquaSpa or AquaFresh biguanide/chlorine-free chemistry. Maintain the correct chlorine residual, balance pH and alkalinity, shock regularly, and use the supporting Iluka products as required for mineral comfort, clarity, foam control, filter cleaning and pipe cleaning.

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD

  • Plug Types & Styles

    Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

    • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
    • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
    • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
    • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
