Spa Controller Replacement Finder
Answer a couple of quick questions and we'll match you with the right replacement spa controller and touchpad — in stock and ready to ship.
Australia’s spa controller replacement & retrofit specialists
Heater & Spa Parts helps spa owners, builders and technicians replace faulty, water-damaged, obsolete and unknown-brand spa control systems (control boxes / spa packs), touchpads, keypads and control pads right across Australia. We’re a real store holding physical stock with fast Australia-wide shipping — not a drop shipper — and an authorised dealer and service agent for the major spa control brands.
The finder above covers common replacement paths only — it is not a complete list. We supply and match far more controllers, touchpads, keypads, heaters, sensors, leads, pumps, lights and retrofit kits than are shown here, including current, obsolete, imported, rebadged and unknown-brand systems. Can’t see yours? Choose “Help me work it out” in the finder or send photos. Browse all spa control systems & parts, touchpads & control panels and complete control systems.
How the right replacement is chosen
The correct controller is matched to the equipment inside the spa — not the brand on the cabinet, shell or touchpad. The same spa brand has used different control systems over the years, and many imported spas run generic or rebadged systems. The match is made from:
- Number of water pumps
- 1-speed or 2-speed pumps
- Dedicated circulation pump
- Air blower
- Heater size & plumbing layout
- Touchpad type & cable plug
- Light type & voltage
- Ozone / UV sanitation
- Plug types (AMP, Mini J&J, C38, Gecko in.link)
- Available cabinet space
- Existing plumbing position
What we need to match your controller
Send clear photos of the control box label, the touchpad / keypad / control pad, the wiring area (if safe), the full equipment bay, pump labels, the heater assembly, any blower / circulation pump / ozone / UV gear, and the existing plug types. If the brand is unknown, that’s normal — we match from the equipment, not the badge.
Signs your controller or touchpad needs replacing
- Blank, flickering or dead touchpad
- Spa trips the breaker / RCD
- Trips when the heater starts
- No heat, or won’t hold temperature
- Pump, blower or light won’t switch
- Sensor, flow or overheat error codes
- Burning, corrosion, water or insect damage
- Buttons unresponsive
- Stuck in one operating mode
- Obsolete, with no direct replacement
If the control box still works and only the topside panel has failed, you may only need a compatible touchpad. If the controller is obsolete or damaged, a complete control box and matching touchpad kit is usually the answer.
Spa control systems, controllers & touchpads we replace
A guide to what we supply and match — current, older, obsolete, imported and rebadged. This is a guide, not a complete catalogue. Model and part numbers vary by region, voltage, software, heater size, plug layout and the spa maker’s original specification, so always confirm before ordering.

Many older Gecko TSC and K-series keypads are obsolete with no like-for-like; in those cases a complete replacement control system and keypad is required.
Joyonway control systems & touchpads
Joyonway P20 / P23 / P25 / P25B and PB-series control packs, heater & controller assemblies, WiFi and colour-screen systems used in many imported spas:
- P20

Joyonway systems can be software-specific — a Joyonway touchpad is not automatically compatible with every Joyonway control box.
Ethink, imported, rebadged & unknown-brand systems
Ethink and generic imported systems found in many Chinese-built, rebadged and unsupported spas — matched from the equipment, not the badge:
- Ethink KL6
- Ethink KL8
- Ethink KL8-2
- Ethink KL8-3
- Ethink control boxes
- Ethink touchpads
- Ethink keypads
- Ethink heater & controller assemblies
- Generic Chinese control packs
- Imported control boxes
- Imported LCD panels
- Imported colour-screen panels
- Generic oval touchpads
- Generic rectangle touchpads
- Rebadged control systems
- Unknown-brand controllers
- Unknown-brand touchpads
- Non-standard-plug control boxes
- Discontinued imported systems
- Unsupported imported controllers
Imported and unknown systems are usually replaced with a suitable current control box and touchpad kit rather than an exact original controller.
Ampac, Pulsar & older Australian-fitted systems
- Ampac controllers
- Ampac control boxes
- Ampac touchpads
- Ampac keypads
- Pulsar controllers
- Pulsar control boxes
- Pulsar touchpads
- Pulsar SQ1000

- Pulsar 2081
- Pulsar 2083
- Pulsar 2095
- Older Australian-fitted systems
- Obsolete local systems
- Rebadged Australian systems
- Retrofit control & touchpad kits
Older local systems are matched manually, because the right replacement depends on the pumps, heater, wiring, touchpad cut-out, plumbing layout and cabinet space.
Onga, Waterco Portapac & all-in-one hot-pump systems
Obsolete all-in-one and hot-pump systems — usually replaced with a modular retrofit control system:
- Onga Spa Master 4352
- Onga Spa Master 4353
- Onga Spa Master 4395
- Waterco Portapac Mk1
- Waterco Portapac Mk2
- Waterco Portapac Mk3
- Waterco Portapac Mk4
- SpaNet Mini retrofit kits
- Modular control-box & heater retrofits
Spa brands that use these control systems
The badge on the cabinet rarely identifies the controller inside. Many spa brands have used Balboa, Gecko / Aeware, Davey Spa-Quip, SpaPower, SpaNet, Joyonway, Ethink or imported systems. We help match controllers, touchpads, keypads and retrofit kits for spas sold under brands including, but not limited to:
- Signature Spas
- Bullfrog Spas
- Maax Spas
- Heritage Spas
- Lanark Spas
- Sapphire Spas
- Monarch Spas
- Alpine Spas
- Artesian Spas
- Caldera Spas
- Cyclone Spas
- Decina
- Designer Spas
- Dimension One Spas
- Endless® Spas
- Fisher Spas
- Halo Spas
- HotSpring Spas
- Impact Spas
- Jacuzzi
- Just Spas
- LA Spas
- Leisurite Spas
- O2 Spas
- Oasis
- SCS Spas
- Spa Industries
- Spas Direct
- Sunrans
- Sundance Spas
- Vortex®
This doesn’t mean every model from every brand has a direct replacement — some are obsolete, modified, rebadged or software-specific. Where there’s no like-for-like, a current control box and matching touchpad kit is usually the best path.
Obsolete, discontinued & retrofit control systems
Many older spa control systems are no longer available as a direct, like-for-like replacement — but that rarely means the spa is finished. Where suitable, we match obsolete Balboa, Spa-Quip / SpaPower, SpaNet, Gecko / Aeware, Joyonway, Ethink, Ampac, Pulsar, imported and unknown-brand systems to a current replacement control box and matching touchpad kit. A retrofit may need changes to plumbing, wiring, touchpad mounting, lights or accessories, and must be carried out by a qualified person.
Important: don’t guess
Spa controllers are not universal. The wrong controller can be incompatible with your pumps, heater, touchpad, keypad, lights, blower, ozone, UV system, sensors or accessories, and can create installation problems if the plumbing, heater position, plug type or touchpad cut-out doesn’t match. If you’re not certain, contact us before ordering and send photos of your existing control box, touchpad and equipment bay. Spa controllers involve mains electrical wiring and must be installed by a qualified person in accordance with Australian electrical requirements.
How the spa controller finder works
- Choose I know my current control brand and pick your brand — Balboa, Davey / Spa-Quip, SpaNet, Gecko / Aeware and more.
- Select your model, or answer a couple of quick questions about your pumps, blower, light and accessories.
- Get a matched controller and compatible touchpad where available — add to cart, or email the match to confirm before you buy.
- Not listed, imported, obsolete or unknown? Choose Help me work it out and send photos for manual matching.
Spa controller replacement FAQs
- How do I find the right replacement spa controller?
- Select your current control brand if you know it, then choose your model or answer a couple of questions about your pumps, blower and light. If you don’t know the brand, choose “Help me work it out” and send photos. The controller is matched to the equipment fitted inside the spa, not the spa brand name.
- Are spa controllers universal?
- No. A spa controller must be matched to the pumps, heater, touchpad, keypad, lights, blower, ozone, UV system, sensors and accessories fitted to the spa. The brand on the cabinet alone usually isn’t enough to identify the correct controller.
- Can I replace just the spa touchpad?
- Sometimes. If the control box still works and only the topside panel has failed, a compatible replacement touchpad may be possible. If the control box is obsolete, faulty or water-damaged, a complete controller and touchpad kit is usually required.
- Can you match an old, obsolete or discontinued spa controller?
- In many cases, yes. Send clear photos of the existing controller, touchpad, equipment bay and pump labels, and we can usually identify whether a direct replacement, a compatible touchpad, or a retrofit controller and touchpad kit is the best option.
- What if my spa control brand isn’t listed in the finder?
- That’s common — many spas use imported, rebadged or discontinued systems. Choose “Help me work it out” or email photos of your control box and touchpad to info@hasp.com.au and we’ll match a replacement.
- Do you only supply the controllers shown in the finder?
- No. The finder shows common replacement options only. It is not a complete catalogue — we supply many more controllers, touchpads, keypads, retrofit kits and parts, and can manually match many systems that aren’t shown online.
- Which spa control brands does Heater & Spa Parts stock or help replace?
- We stock, supply and match many systems, including Balboa, Davey Spa-Quip / SpaPower, SpaNet, Gecko / Aeware, Joyonway, Ethink, Ampac, Pulsar, Onga, Waterco Portapac, imported Chinese systems and unknown or rebadged controllers. The exact replacement depends on the equipment fitted to your spa.
- Will a new spa controller fit my existing spa?
- Like-for-like replacements usually fit closely, but it isn’t guaranteed. Retrofit systems may need replumbing, electrical changes, a different touchpad or light connection, or changes to the equipment bay. A licensed electrician or qualified spa technician should install the system.
- What photos do you need to match my controller?
- Photos of the control box label, the touchpad or keypad, the full equipment bay, the pump labels, the heater assembly, the wiring and plug connections (if safe to photograph), and any blower, circulation pump, ozone or UV equipment.
- Can I install a spa controller myself?
- Spa controllers involve mains electrical wiring and must be installed by a qualified person in accordance with Australian electrical requirements.
- My controller isn’t listed — can Heater & Spa Parts still help?
- Yes. If your controller, touchpad, keypad, control pad, topside panel, spa pack or control box isn’t listed, we may still be able to help. Many spas use unknown, imported, rebadged or discontinued systems. Send clear photos of the control box label, touchpad, wiring area, pump labels, heater and full equipment bay so we can check whether a direct replacement, compatible touchpad or retrofit kit is suitable.
