The Inline Cable Connector / Joiner is an IP68 weatherproof solution for joining, extending, or replacing power cables on spa and pool equipment. It is the ideal fix for converting older gear fitted with obsolete plugs — including Mini JJ (Mini J&J), Gecko Aeware in.link, and other discontinued cable styles that are no longer available. Cut the old cord near its existing plug, then join your new equipment straight to this connector.

This 4-core, 10–14mm version (SKU ec-4c-14) is the two-speed option, rated to 25A for the higher-current cable used on two-speed jet pumps.
Two-speed pumps fitted with an obsolete Mini J&J or Gecko in.link plug can be wired straight into your existing cable run with this 4-core joiner — no need to replace the whole pump when only the plug or socket is discontinued. Cut off the old plug, strip the cable, and terminate into the connector.

Commonly used on spa equipment from SpaPro, WWDG, Sapphire, Oasis, Vortex and many imported brands.
Important — check two-speed wiring before connecting:
- Do not assume the wire colours match when using this connector. Two-speed pump wiring colours vary and are often transposed. An incorrect connection can damage the motor, circuit board, or blow a fuse.
- Low and high speed are commonly Black/Brown or Brown/Black. Check the wiring at the motor terminals and match it to the corresponding colours on the extended plug.
- Cords of all plug types can be supplied with different inner wire colour combinations, so confirm the correct configuration (this may mean switching colours for low/high speed).
Typical colour guide:
- Yellow/Green or Green = Earth
- Blue or White = Neutral
- Brown, Red, or Black = Active (high & low speed). If the pump behaves incorrectly, recheck the wiring and/or swap the high and low speed.

Three types are available to match your cable size and equipment:
- Blower / Ozone / Circ Pump — 3-core, 16A, 5–8mm cable
- Single-Speed Jet Pump — 3-core, 16A, 9–12mm cable
- Two-Speed Pump — 4-core, 25A, 10–14mm cable (this product)
Fitting instructions:
- Ensure cables are stripped sufficiently and held tight with the terminal latches closed.
- Tighten with spanners to ensure waterproofing and strain relief, and to prevent unscrewing by hand. Do not overtighten.
- Can be silicone gel-filled for additional moisture protection.

In plumbing, named sizes are not the actual measurements. A pipe called “50mm” or “2"” does not measure 50 mm across. Instead, it follows nominal sizing, an internationally-standardised naming system.
Use the Outside Diameter (OD) to check your pipe against fittings. Below is a quick reference for common spa & pool pipe sizes:

These are nominal sizes and are designed to fit matching fittings — not to measure exactly what their name suggests. These are based on PVC Pressure Pipe AS/NZ 1477 Dimensions1.

Understanding Plumbing Sizes & Nominal Measurements
Plumbing sizes can be confusing. PVC and many other pipe systems use nominal sizes—the size is a name, not the exact measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.
Why pipe sizes don’t match the measurements
The Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) system standardises pipe dimensions so that pipes, fittings, valves, and accessories interoperate. Plumbers work with these nominal names every day, but DIYers can be tripped up if they try to match by a tape-measure alone.
How to Measure Pipe Correctly

Pipe size is identified by:
- The pipe’s Outside Diameter (OD).
- The fitting’s Inside Diameter (ID) (socket opening).
- Pipe Class / Schedule (e.g., Class 9, 12, 18 or Sch 40) relates to wall thickness and therefore the Internal Diameter (ID) and pressure rating.
- The outside diameter of a fitting is not useful (wall thickness varies by manufacturer).
