The Astralpool Echo is an Australian-designed salt chlorinator that also takes over control of the rest of the equipment pad. It sits above the Solo chlorinator and below the Halo Pro automation system. The 18 gram per hour model is rated to approximately 40,000 litres in tropical conditions, and more again in a temperate climate.

Chlorination

• 18 grams per hour output, adjustable in fine increments
• Reverse-polarity self-cleaning cell with WWDG technology, cleaning approximately every 4 hours and adjustable to around 6
• Titanium electrodes with ruthenium and iridium coating in a clear housing, so cell condition can be checked without pulling it out
• All Seasons operation reduces output as water temperature falls, rather than running summer production through winter
• Boost / Super Chlorinate and Spa modes
• No-flow protection, plus high and low salt warnings
• Designed around a recommended salinity of approximately 4,000 ppm

Equipment Control

• Filtration pump control, including compatible variable-speed pumps
• Heater control via a dry-contact output. Fluidra has demonstrated this driving third-party heat pumps and gas heaters through their remote-control input, so it is not limited to Astralpool heaters
• Pool lighting control
• Compatible with Fluidra's Bluetooth filter-pressure sensor, which can flag when filter pressure has climbed far enough above the clean baseline to warrant a clean or backwash

Sensorless Acid Dosing

Echo can dose acid automatically without a pH probe, working from a configured dosing program rather than a live reading. This is programmed dosing, not closed-loop pH control - the Echo does not measure actual pool pH before each dose. Where true automatic pH measurement and regulation is required, the Halo Pro system is the appropriate product. An additional acid dosing kit is required.

Control and Scheduling

• Touchscreen interface, with the circular ring on the fascia doubling as an illuminated status indicator for filtering, chlorinating, updates, warnings and faults. Idle colour is customisable
• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with mobile app control
• Four configurable seasons with adjustable start and finish dates, so schedules can vary by both day of week and season. A Monday in winter can run differently to a Monday in summer without resetting timers each time the weather turns
