The AstralPool XF Series is the current replacement for the older Hurlcon / AstralPool FX Series. These are flooded suction pumps — no hair and lint pot — designed to be installed below water level. Typical uses are solar pool heating, above-ground pools, circulation duty on gas heaters and heat pumps, and spa jet boosting.
An inbuilt non-return valve stops the impeller reverse-rotating under high pressure, which is what keeps these reliable on solar circuits where the column drains back.

Replacing an older Hurlcon FX pump?
The FX Series ran to five models. The XF Series that replaced it has three. Two of the old sizes are gone with no direct equivalent.
