Astralpool

OBSOLETE — this is the early straight-rod version of the DSI Igniter / Ignitor & Flame Sensor Electrode Assembly and is no longer available. The current replacement is the standard right-angle rod assembly, which suits the same heaters.

Suits the following heaters

  • Hurlcon Astralpool: HX 70, HX 120, HX 150, JX 130, JX 160, WX 70, WX 120, WX 150
  • Hurlcon HW Boilers: HW 130, HW 160

Mis-called the Pilot Assembly.

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD

  • Plug Types & Styles

    Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

    • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
    • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
    • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
    • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
