This product is no longer available.

Scroll down for replacement options and more information.

Description

OBSOLETE PART – PLEASE READ: The original Edgetec Mini Silhouette chrome spa bath jet is no longer available. This listing explains how to identify it and the most common retrofit option (White Mini Trio).

Edgetec Mini Silhouette chrome spa bath jet face. It threads directly into the jet body behind the bath (there is no separate threaded wall fitting like many other Edgetec bath jets). Commonly found on Lanark, Decina, and other spa bath brands.

  • Face diameter: approx. 41mm
  • Jet type: non-adjustable directional
  • Flush design: approx. 2mm projection into bath
  • Mounting: threaded-in jet face

Removal tool and warning

  • Tool: Edgetec Silhouette Jet Spanner (14mm across the splines)
  • Important: This spanner is designed mainly for installation. For removal, jets are often held in with sealant and can be extremely tight. The spanner may be damaged when used for removal.

Retrofit option

In many cases, these can be replaced with Edgetec Mini Trio Jets (White). Retrofit uses a new internal nut from a Mini Trio jet body and a new Mini Trio jet face.

Required parts for this retrofit are linked here.

Retrofit instructions (clear step-by-step)

  1. Do one jet at a time. This reduces the risk of disturbing silicone seals behind the bath and / or allow the jet body to fall off the back of the bath.
  2. Remove the old Silhouette jet face: Use the Silhouette Jet Spanner to unscrew the jet face from the existing body.
  3. Protect the bath seal: While removing, take care not to tear or break any silicone seal behind the bath.
  4. Prepare the Mini Trio internal nut: From this Mini Trio jet body, keep the internal nut only. The rest of the body is not used for this retrofit.
  5. Seal the nut threads: Apply a continuous bead of high-quality bathroom-grade silicone around the threads of the internal nut.
  6. Install the nut into the old body: Thread the sealed internal nut into the existing (old) body using the Mini Trio Jet Spanner.
  7. Clean up: Remove any excess silicone from inside the body and around the newly installed nut (clean before it skins over).
  8. Fit the new jet face: Install the Mini Trio Jet (White) into the body.
  9. Cure time: Wait a minimum of 24 hours for silicone to cure before filling the bath.
  10. Leak check: Fill the bath and inspect behind/under the bath for leaks. Then run the jets and re-check for leaks under operating pressure.

Important safety note

Not recommended as a DIY project. Access may be requied behind the bath and mistakes can cause hidden leaks and damage. This retrofit should only be attempted by qualified, experienced persons.
