Waterway Turbo Jet - 304 Stainless Steel Face with Dark Silver Grey nozzle aka Whirlpool 2-3 port whirlpool diverter jet. See images for multiple water flow configurations. Ensure it is plumbed and setup correctly for your application. (Images show non-SS faced version).
The internal valve nozzle can have a tab removed to convert from 2 port to 3 port diverter (see images). 'Similar' in design to Hydroair 3 way Butterfly diverter jet but parts are not interchangeable.

- 82mm diameter hole required.
- Flow rate of: 320 lpm @ 5 psi, or 400 lpm @9 psi
- 3 x 1.5"S / 2" Spg water ports and 3/4" barb air.
Incoming water can supply multiple ports depending on how you desire the diversion of water to behave. Very careful attention to jet function must be taken when determining plumbing arrangement to/from the 3 ports. There are a number of plumbing combinations available for both two port (2 combinations) and three port (3 configurations). See images for configurations.
- In 2 port configurations, one port must be sealed/capped off.
- In 3 port configurations, the outer tab must be cut off the internal nozzle as per images - do not cut off for 2 port configurations.
If replacing an alternate diverter jet (such as Waterway Dual or Quad Flow) replumbing will be required.
304SS face is susceptible to corrosion/rust if water chemistry is not correctly maintained or salt/minerals are added, which is not warranted.
In plumbing, named sizes are not the actual measurements. A pipe called “50mm” or “2"” does not measure 50 mm across. Instead, it follows nominal sizing, an internationally-standardised naming system.
Use the Outside Diameter (OD) to check your pipe against fittings. Below is a quick reference for common spa & pool pipe sizes:

These are nominal sizes and are designed to fit matching fittings — not to measure exactly what their name suggests.
Understanding Plumbing Sizes & Nominal Measurements
Plumbing sizes can be confusing. PVC and many other pipe systems use nominal sizes—the size is a name, not the exact measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.
Why pipe sizes don’t match the measurements
The Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) system standardises pipe dimensions so that pipes, fittings, valves, and accessories interoperate. Plumbers work with these nominal names every day, but DIYers can be tripped up if they try to match by a tape-measure alone.
How to Measure Pipe Correctly

Pipe size is identified by:
- The pipe’s Outside Diameter (OD).
- The fitting’s Inside Diameter (ID) (socket opening).
- Pipe Class / Schedule (e.g., Class 9, 12, 18 or Sch 40) relates to wall thickness and therefore the Internal Diameter (ID) and pressure rating.
- The outside diameter of a fitting is not useful (wall thickness varies by manufacturer).
