Davey Aquaselect Spa Bath Suction Cover - Obsolete – No Longer Available
These suction covers are now obsolete and no longer available due to their non-VGB-compliance. They were originally white, gold, or chrome and often appear yellowed with age. Some units may have the following embossed on the back of the face:
AS.3861 / 155 L.P.M. / 3900mm² / 40mm PIPE / 12424 / 12423 - may be on the wall fitting.
Replacement Information:
There are two common scenarios when replacing these suctions. To determine the best course of action, inspect the wall fitting inside your bath. See third image for more information.
- Case 1: If Wall Fitting Is Not Glued - If the wall fitting is not glued in, you may be able to unscrew the old fitting and install a new ASF523 white suction with silicone. In most cases, you will need to shorten the threads on the new fitting for a proper fit. (see Important Notes!)
- Case 2: If Wall Fitting Is Glued - If the existing wall fitting is glued into the plumbing, it cannot be unscrewed. In this case, the entire rear assembly must be replaced, which involves replumbing and access to the back of the bath. This ASF480 suction may be used but hole modifications and plumbing will need to be modified by a qualifed person. Note that replumbing a new fitting can be very difficult and sometimes not feasible.
