AstralPool / Hurlcon Check valve. Used in E, CX, TX, CTX pumps. Suits both 40mm & 50mm unions. These prevent impeller "spin-off" from water rushing backwards through the pump, mainly when it switches off.

Important Notes:

• These only come in the style as pictured in the first image. The older style with the black fitting (in second image) is no longer available. The new version can be used in most cases.
• In some cases, the flap won't fully open when used in 40mm tails. Unfortunately there is no way to tell until you try. If it does not open fully, you will need to fit a check valve above the pump.
• Where possible, we recommend a good quality check valve fitted to the outlet of the pump.
