LX Whirlpool Hydro Massage 2-speed Spa Jet Booster Pumps - WP 250-II 2.5HP. Universal Spa Jet Pump that fits almost all of the major brands of pumps. This is the upgraded "Pro Series" version of the LX Whirlpool pump with better seals and impeller material.
Protip: For an even better version, with same fittings, better seals, windings, etc choose the Spatex SX250-2 here. Should our stock run out, we may substitute the Spatex version free of charge.
The wet-end screws straight into almost all Davey QB, Aquaflo XP2, Balboa SuperWow & Ultimax, Waterway Executive and many others. The motor mounts might be different, (which is also the case when replacing the exact same models.)
We supply unions that make this pump interchangeable with most Davey, SpaQuip, Aquaflo, Balboa, Waterway and other brands of spa jet booster pumps.
This is the two-speed version. Check your plug to ensure it has 4 wires, not 3. If it only has 3-wires, it is the LP one-speed version.

Note: you may find pumps listed with the same model numbers as these listed elsewhere. LX is a Chinese OEM pump manufacturer, and provide various specifications within the same model. Versions listed crazy-cheap elsewhere have lower-grade seals, impellers, have no Electrical Approvals, and are illegal. There is only one importer that ensures the highest-specs are sold, and tracked via serial numbers. We only sell these.
Comes fitted with an AMP plug (Balboa, Gecko in.y*), Overmoulded AMP plug (Spanet, Davey), or a Mini JJ plug (older systems).
Mini JJ plugs are fitted to order, so please allow a couple of extra days for dispatch. In some cases, the High & Low speeds may be reversed with Mini JJ plugs. If this occurs, your electrician can swap the connections either inside the pump (a wiring diagram is located under the lid) or within the spa control box.
In plumbing, named sizes are not the actual measurements. A pipe called “50mm” or “2"” does not measure 50 mm across. Instead, it follows nominal sizing, an internationally-standardised naming system.
Use the Outside Diameter (OD) to check your pipe against fittings. Below is a quick reference for common spa & pool pipe sizes:

These are nominal sizes and are designed to fit matching fittings — not to measure exactly what their name suggests.
Understanding Plumbing Sizes & Nominal Measurements
Plumbing sizes can be confusing. PVC and many other pipe systems use nominal sizes—the size is a name, not the exact measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.
Why pipe sizes don’t match the measurements
The Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) system standardises pipe dimensions so that pipes, fittings, valves, and accessories interoperate. Plumbers work with these nominal names every day, but DIYers can be tripped up if they try to match by a tape-measure alone.
How to Measure Pipe Correctly

Pipe size is identified by:
- The pipe’s Outside Diameter (OD).
- The fitting’s Inside Diameter (ID) (socket opening).
- Pipe Class / Schedule (e.g., Class 9, 12, 18 or Sch 40) relates to wall thickness and therefore the Internal Diameter (ID) and pressure rating.
- The outside diameter of a fitting is not useful (wall thickness varies by manufacturer).
