Heat Pump 3-Way Valve Installation Kits

Not your cheap valves! These are built to last! An essential part of installing a pool or spa.heat pump, this valve installation kit includes Two 3-Way 40 or 50mm Valves from Jandy or Hayward.

This allows you to set the correct bypass flow through the heat pump to achieve the 2-5° differential between Inlet & Outlet, as required by most heat pump manufacturers.

Comes with Genuine Jandy or Hayward valves. 2x Three-way Valve plus 1x Check Valve

Options:

  • One-speed Standard Pumps: Set valves for a 2-3° differential.
  • Two-Speed Pumps: Set the 2-3° differential temperature based on low-speed.
  • Variable-Speed Pumps: Find what speed your pump is set to when heating, then set the valves for the 2-3° differential.

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD

  • Plug Types & Styles

    Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

    • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
    • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
    • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
    • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
