The Zodiac Freerider FR200 is the entry point to the Freerider range – a genuinely lightweight cordless robotic pool cleaner built for in-ground pools up to 8 x 4 metres. There is no cord, no hose and no connection to your pump or skimmer. Charge it, drop it in, and it scrubs the floor and climbs the walls on its own battery for a full two-hour cycle.

What size pool does the Zodiac Freerider FR200 suit?

The FR200 is rated by Zodiac for in-ground pools up to 8 x 4 metres, in any shape and on any standard surface. If your pool is larger than that, step up to the FR350 iQ or FR500 iQ so the robot can finish the pool on one charge.

Does the FR200 clean the waterline?

No. The FR200 cleans the floor and walls only. If waterline scum or a tide line is your main problem, the FR350 iQ, FR500 iQ, FR800 iQ, FR1000 iQ and FR2000 iQ all add waterline cleaning.

Does the FR200 have app control?

No. The FR200 is manual start only – there is one button and one cycle. It is the simplest model in the range, which is exactly why a lot of people choose it. Every iQ model above it adds app control.

How do I get the FR200 out of the pool?

At the end of the cycle it parks close to a wall. You lift it out with the supplied hook on a standard pool pole. At 6 kg it is the easiest robot in the range to lift.

Does the Freerider connect to my pool pump or filter?

No. Every Freerider is fully cordless and self-contained. It runs on its own lithium-ion battery and collects debris in its own canister, so it does not touch your pump, filter, skimmer or suction line. That also means it uses far less energy than a hydraulic cleaner.
