What is Error 8?
In Davey, SpaQuip, SpaNet spa controllers, Error 08 simply means there is a "Temp Sensor Fault" or "No Temperature Data." Read on below.
What causes Error 08 and How do I fix it?
Error 08 is most commonly found where the temperature sensor has failed. They generally only fail due to water ingress from corrosion. This can be caused by age or incorrect water balance.
In some cases, you can replace the temperature sensor, but in most cases for Davey & SpaQuip control systems, you'll need to replace the entire heater assembly.
In other cases, the error may be caused by a faulty PCB.
Engage a qualified, licensed electrician to diagnose and repair. You can also send your control box, heater, and touchpad to us for assessment and repair. See here for more information.
