DXD pumps are mainly found on budget Chinese imported spas. We cannot find any electrical approvals on these pumps, an’s as such, cannot legally be sold. We do not recommend this brand due to the lack of compliance, spare parts availability, etc

The following is a list of common replacements in many cases. 

Notes:

  1. Plumbing changes may be necessary.
  2. Plugs or leads may need changing.
  3. Air-switched variants will need a separate air switch box.
  4. DXD Model numbers are poorly used and do not denote plug type, operation type, etc.

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD

  • Plug Types & Styles

    Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

    • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
    • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
    • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
    • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
