Description

The Onga Ultra 2700, 3300, and 4700 gas spa heaters were a Japanese heater branded by Onga, often fitted to a Spa Skid Pack. The control systems were poorly made, and no spare parts are available.

They were built in the 1990s & early 2000s, before being completely abandoned by Onga & Pentair several years ago.

All parts Obsolete and No Longer Available (NLA).

The best replacement is either the HX70 or HX120 for ground-mounting. If you can only replace with a wall-mounted heater, the JX130 or JX160 is the best option.

  • Plug Types & Styles

    Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

    • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
    • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
    • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
    • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD
