Hurlcon Astralpool Viron eVo 450 gas pool heaters. This is the latest eVo version, which have a completely different combustion & ignition system to the old Viron gas heaters. The only gas pool and spa heater that can reach up to 97% efficiency.

These are VERY different internally to the old Hurlcon Viron gas heaters. They have gone through several revisions, and the newest version is hardier than ever.

Some of the changes & improvements over older models:

• Vastly improved, solid-tube manifolds - no longer convex. Helps prevent leaks
• Deeper Brass Plugs for High-Limits. Helps prevent leaks
• Spark Ignition changed to simpler Hot-Surface Ignition
• No pilot light
• No pilot hood to wear
• HSI Ignition now on Top & easy to access
• Insulation is now Solid rather than "Wool" style
• Burner is now retained by solid welded steel, rather than pop-rivets
• Burner is now high-temp ceramic mesh
• Gas input is solid & straight into gas valve. 
• Ignition Module has been vastly improved
• Much easier to work on than previous models
