Q6802 & Q6882 1.5HP One-Speed and Two-Speed Spa-quip (SpaQuip) Maxiflow Spa Pump replacements. The older Spa-quip Maxi-flow pumps are no longer available. This is the closest replacement. Maxiflow replacement pumps need to be replumbed. We recommend engaging a professional if not comfortable with changing plumbing to suit.

Notes - Important:

  • This is the closest replacement for older Maxiflow pumps. Many fit in with the split nut adaptors, but in some cases, there may need to be other plumbing changes. See pump dimensions below.
  • Images show the older style Maxiflow Pumps. Photos showing the split nuts and plugs are the new style.
  • Wet-end Head can be rotated 90-180° to various position for various installations. Scroll images to see.
  • Where you have Tee style heaters (eg Ampac/Pulsar/SP400), you may be able to use a 50/40 Spa-quip Tail to adapt (glues into pump union).
  • Please note dimensions of new pumps are different. We recommend qualified person fit new pumps, as changes may be necessary.

Plug Types:

  • AMP for Balboa, Joyonway, Gecko Aeware
  • Overmoulded AMP for Davey, Spanet, Spa-quip
  • Any other plug type (eg: Mini JJ, Gecko in.link, etc): <-- Comes with Inline Connector - Electrician can use old plug to fit to new pump cable.
    These replacement kits come with a retrofit split-union (see photos below), in addition to the standard unions, to reduce the amount of plumbing changes needed. We cannot guarantee these replacements will be an exact match, because each spa was fitted off differently. See photos for comparison of old types to the new types. We have made sure the Old Models listed below match up to Current Models as close as possible.

    • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

      Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

      • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
      • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
      • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD

    • Plug Types & Styles

      Common plug types found on spa equipment are AMP, Mini JJ, C38 (Aus 3-pin), Gecko in.link, etc. For more information please click here.

      • AMP plugs are the most common type used for over 20 years.
      • Many Mini J&J plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
      • C38 is the common Australian 3-pin plug found in normal household outlets.
      • Gecko (Aeware) in.link style plugs are no longer available and must be modified.
